Onboard electrics and power

Marine electrician: boat electrical systems

We design, fit and repair your boat’s electrical system, from the distribution panel to the battery banks.

Boat electrics are not house electrics

On board, DC power from the batteries sits alongside AC from shore power or a generator, in an environment of damp, salt and vibration. A poor joint or the wrong cable ends in corrosion, voltage drops or overheating, which is why marine installations need their own materials and practices.

As marine electricians, we inspect and repair installations on yachts, sailboats, catamarans and fishing boats, and fit new systems sized for each boat’s real consumption. We work at your berth in La Línea, Algeciras, Puerto Banús and Marbella.

Catamarans and boats with several battery banks

On catamarans and boats with heavy consumption, power is shared between several battery banks and charging sources. We check that each bank charges as it should and that loads are balanced across hulls and circuits.

Frequently asked questions

Another question? Call us or message us on WhatsApp and we'll get back to you.

My boat’s batteries go flat quickly. What could it be?

It may be a battery at the end of its life, a load that never switches off, or a charging system that isn’t working properly. We measure real battery capacity and onboard consumption to find the cause.

Can you rebuild my boat’s electrical panel?

Yes. We design and build new panels or rework the existing one to suit your boat’s equipment and consumption.

Do you work on both DC and AC systems?

Yes. We cover both the DC side from the batteries and the AC side from shore power and the generator.
